Cathal MacSwiney Brugha (Grand nephew of Mary MacSwiney) being presented with a copy of Ordinary Women in Extraordinary Times by members of Shandon Area History Group when they attended The Terence MacSwiney Weekend in Kilmurry Co Cork . The book is the story of 11 Cork women in the Revolutionary Years 1916 - 1923. Mary MacSwiney was one of the women featured in the book.

Liam’s talk was on Edward Bransfield a Corkman from Ballinacurra, Midleton who is reputed to be the first man to see Antarctica in 1820.
